Elect the U.S. Attorney General and Justice Board -- for accountability with daily oversight, advice and consent.
Discover the critical need for a constitutional amendment to elect the U.S. Attorney General and Justice Board. We advocate for a structural separation of power within the Executive Branch, ensuring the sanctity of due process and protecting against the concentration of political and quasi-judicial authority in one person. Join us in building a more accountable and just system.
Why structural separation matters
Just as Congress operates with separate powers between two houses, we believe the Executive Branch requires a similar structural safeguard. This amendment will create distinct houses for due process, law enforcement, investigation, and prosecution, separate from policymaking and political processes which are mere execution of the laws of Congress. This isn't just about words; it's about a written constitution guaranteeing structural integrity for due process prosecutions. As Antonin Scalia famously stated, "Structure is Everything." Currently, 43 states elect their Attorney General, underscoring the viability and importance of this approach. This is nothing new. It is a tried and true approach.
